This year fifth level students along with fourth level students participated in the "School to School project" with the Devaganapalli School. It was the second year for fifth level students. This year they worked specifically on the contrasts in India. Here you are the dossier they sent to India.

LET'S COOK (March '15)

Year 6 students have recorded a cookery programme and talked about two typical catalan recipes: bread and tomatoes (pa amb tomàquet) and honey and cheese (mel i mató). This is the task that we have done as part of the European Project: Enjoy your meal! Let's eat and learn!

Els nens i nenes de Sisè han gravat un programa de cuina i també han explicat dos receptes típiques de la cuina catalana: pa amb tomàquet i mel i mató. Aquesta es la part del projecte europeu que ens tocava fer aquest mes!

UNUSUAL JOB
Year 6 students are working now on an unusual job. They should create a power point presentation and talk about it in front of their classmates. THE ENGLISH DAY IN CORNELLÀ
Next June, the 6th grade class will participate in the English Day in Cornellà with boys and girls from four different schools such as Alexandre Gali o Montserrat. We will meet in Alexandre Gali to participate in different challenges like a huge Karaoke, the Fortune Wheel o English traditional games. This day consists of enjoying, playing, singing and meeting with different people only in English. All the schools are thinking about challenges and things to do and share.
Apart from that, this meeting needs a puppet. So the pupils have designed really amazing characters. Finally, schools have decided to choose Irene's design as the winner to do a big banner. Another one from Montserrat school have been elected as the English day puppet. Do you want to see Irene's one? As soon as we can, we will give you more information about this BIG DAY!!!

El pròxim mes de juny, la classe de sisè participarà en el English Day de Cornellà amb nens i nenes de quatre escoles diferents com l'escola Alexandre Gali o Montserrat. Ens trobarem al Gali per participar en diferents proves com un karaoke gegant, la ruleta de la fortuna o jocs tradicionals anglesos. Aquest dia és un motiu per divertir-se, jugar, cantar and conèixer gent diferent però només en anglès. Totes les escoles estan, a hores d'ara, pensant en els diferents reptes a fer.
A més a més, aquesta trobada necessita una mascota. Així que els i les alumnes han dissenyat diferents personatges. Finalment, les escoles hem decidit triar el disseny de la Irene (del Clavé) per a fer una pancarta gegant. Un altre disseny d'una nena del Montserrat ha estat triada com a la mascota d'aquest dia.Voleu veure la mascota de la Irene? Pròximament, tindreu més notícies sobre aquesta gran data.

SAILING THE CLAVE'S SEA
The whole school has changed into a huge sea. You can find pirates, different types of fishes and sea creatures. As 5th and 6th grades enjoyed the Treasure Island english play last week, we have decided to decorate the Music-English corridor with a Pirate ship, a treasure map and one of the characters of this play: Long John Silver and his parrot. Do you like it?

Tota l'escola s'ha convertit en un gran oceà. Es podreu trobar pirates, diferents tipus de peixos i criatures marines. Com que les classes de 5é i 6é van gaudir de l'obra de teatre L'illa del Tresor en anglès, hem decidit decorar el passadís de Música-Anglès amb un vaixell pirata, un mapa del tresor i un dels personatges d'aquesta obra: Long John Silver i el seu lloro. Us agrada?
